Kim posted today about how we went to MDSW this past weekend. I have to agree with her: it was a lovely, calm MDSW experience.
(Well, except for when I drove into Wilmington instead of staying on the interstate.)
But it was fun to just wander around, and not be stressed over missing the best yarn ever.
I had only one item on my list: I was looking for yarn for the Not So Little One's next sweater. (You may recall I don't think the current one will go over well). However, I was having a hard time deciding. The point of Maryland, really, is to find that special yarn that's hard to find anywhere else, but the special is always pricey. Worth it, of course -- unless you are making a sweater for a child.
I finally found something.
The eagle-eyed (and blur-readers) among you will note that this is "merely" Malabrigo yarn. Merely because Malabrigo is widely available in all good LYS. In quotes, because it is Malabrigo. But I rarely go to a real yarn shop, who's to say the one I went to would have this shocking pink, and...
Well, how could I leave a sheep'n'wool festival empty-handed?

if you hadn't bought that yarn, i was going to force you to buy that $75 goat so as to not be empty handed!! (oh, and i found out from kevin that our little detour into wilmington is a common mistake and that if we'd forged ahead, we would have met back up with the road we wanted!)

One can never have too much pink yarn. and Malabrigo! You don't have to justify anything to me.
