I earned myself a reward the other day: size 000 circulars for these socks. After a little comparison shopping, I ended up at elann. Of course, I couldn't leave with just a couple of circulars, now, could I, so I threw a few other things in my cart:
The circular needles, two Fiber Trends shawls, and three balls of laceweight yarn. (I bought the single ball under the impression I'd found a pattern that took only a single ball of laceweight, but I can't seem to remember what it was.)
So that was very exciting. I've already transferred to the circulars, and they work much better than the dpns. (For me. I know lots of people swear by dpns, so this is only what works for me.) The patterns & yarn can wait; 60 stitches on 000 needles are enough of a challenge for now.
Today, the Not-So-Little-One comes running up to me. "Mommy! Knitting for you!" as I'm handed a silver package.
"No, I haven't ordered anything else." I have no idea what it is. I do have family in Washington state, but I'm almost positive this isn't from them. My memory is problematic; maybe I have forgotten someone's correct name?
The NSLO is right:
It is knitting, so I must've forgotten someone's name, because I am sure I didn't order anything. Wait; what's this?
Ohhhh! I get it now! It's a prize I won! And isn't it pretty?? Let's take another look:
Now I get to play with Trekking! Plus a bonus Fleece Artist hank!
Thank you, Terby!
